Congratulations! Finally, you have become a yoga teacher! You must have made a brave and surprising switch from your previous job to this yoga teaching path. Teaching yoga is one of the best things we can do for people around us, and for our own self as we will grow so much along this path.

However, there are also quite a number of challenges and obstacles that you should be aware of, if you would like to make yoga teaching as a career. Just know that many yoga teachers ahead of you already faced similar challenges and difficulties. Look who they have become and how much they have grown now.

The most common obstacle that yoga teachers encounter is MONEY and TIME. I am sorry to be straight-forward. But unless you are having a big savings that can support you and your family for this life (or the next), you might also fall into the same vicious circle.  Many yoga teachers find it very tough to survive from the sole income of teaching yoga. But some seem doing really well. What are their secrets? How could they do that?

I think every yoga teacher has the same kind of challenges. The difference is which teachers realize them earlier and have developed clever strategies to overcome them; hence they survive and grow. Those who realize the issues too late, they would have been burnt out by then and consequently give up on this path. If you find yourself struggle with making a living and need some guidelines to make things better, this yoga teacher guide is for you.  It is consolidated and summarized from my 3 articles below:

The income can range significantly from the top to bottom of yoga teachers. While most teachers earn less than $30,000 per year, some teachers (not many of them) earn $300,000 or more. But for those teachers who earn a lot, they all have the same success formula: diversify the income outside teaching for yoga studios. Put it another way, they receive incomes from other sources.
