🐍 Bhujangasana (COBRA Pose) resembles a serpent with its hood raised. It is considered as a powerful backward bending yoga pose, so be aware when you go into the pose and come out of it.
Any jerky movements of the back while going into the pose can cause discomfort to the back and may also cause injury. While releasing, the body should drop down slowly.
As students have varying abilities, a given yoga pose may be easy for a particular student but hard for another. Let’s check out 2 variations of Bhujangasana demonstrated by YTaste, coupled with some preparation prior to this powerful pose.
The corresponding muscles in Bhujangasana are Lower Back, Middle Back, Upper Back, Biceps, Triceps, Core (Abs) and Psoas.
